Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Gladstone

The Gladstone is situated in the village of Dwygyfylchi separated from the A55, the railway line and the sea by fields and with a caravan site just to the rear. It was busy in here on our late Sunday afternoon visit. There were a good mix of young and old, families and local drinkers. Staff were very friendly and chatty.

The interior is fairly open-plan with a split in the middle creating a couple of different drinking spaces and with the bar at the rear. There is a rather grand-looking staircase to the right-hand side, which may lead up to further seating, or possibly to the pub's accommodation. A pool table can also be found on the right-hand side. To the front is a patio area, where you can enjoy sea views. A car park can be found to the left-hand side.

A couple of real ales are dispensed. On this occasion, it was Morland Old Speckled Hen & Wily Fox Dublin Up. The latter was my favourite beer of the day, a lovely smooth stout. In fact, the Gladstone exceeded all of my expectations and was my favourite pub of a weekend in Wales. Well worth dropping by.

Lovely pub in a lovely place. Cracking views of the sea and mountains. Real ale available to enjoy outside if its nice weather. Recommended.
