Sadly, the up and down fortunes of this small rural pub has led to its closure once again. The latest landlords leaving due to the poor condition of the premises. The future of this pub is now very uncertain.

The Sun Inn reopened (Easter 2013)in the safe hands of the nearby Abbey Grange Hotel and Llangollen Brewery.
Present beers on sale are Llangollen Holy Grail, Llangollen Welsh Black and (Llangollen) Wrexham Borders Bitter.
Three handpumps serve varying Llangollen Brewery beers. Meals have been introduced and are highly recommended. Expect a gradual improvement as the new landlord restores this 14th century drovers in to it's former glory.
Present opening hours are 1700-2200 (Mon-Thur), 1200-2200 (Fri,Sat,Sun).
Pub was cut off by snow a couple of days after opening and was limited to 2 or 3 locals who could stagger through the snow!

This 14th Century Welsh Heritage pub could now have served its last ale. This Grade 2 listed pub has now been closed for about 4 weeks. The historic photos and fittings have been removed and all that is left is the bar and the open range fire. Another piece of Britons history and heritage has probably vanished for good.
