A Paddy pub which is a somewhat surprising GBG entry. Relatively characterful interior with the style and trimmings you'd expect from the genre. The local CAMRA branch aren’t that savvy though, as, the single cask of Tribute was poor (NBSS 1.5) and an emergency half of Galway Nitro Stout to replace was fusty. Deeply unimpressed which is a shame as it is a decent hole on cursory inspection. Proof that the GBG down this way is about as hit-and-miss as you just plucking some random entries out of this website.

This place is a long and thin shop conversion that advertises itself as a bar and restaurant. I suppose that the very dimly lit rear of the pub could be used for dining, but I can’t really see it being that comfortable. The bar is located in the centre of the pub and is stocked with standard draught products, from which the very friendly woman behind the bar served a decent pint of Guinness. There is some more seating at the front of the pub and there is also a covered smoking area out the back. I only spotted one plasma screen, but I’d imagine that there is a projector somewhere in the pub as they show Sky Sports. There is a quiz advertised for Thursday nights and music on Friday and Saturdays.

I found this place to be pleasant enough and I would pop in again if passing.
