Decent sized pub with some outside seating. 4 beers on - Speckled Hen, Golden Hen, Purity Ubu and Mad goose. The beer was decent and the service was friendly. Happy to have called in.

The Almanack is a large bar that is situated under a modern building.
Once inside there is a very large square shaped room with a large island bar,the front area is for drinkers, this area had a mix of seating types most low settees plus some normal tables and chairs, some of the chairs looked very scruffy and stained, the rear area is for diners, there is an open kitchen to the rear of this area.
There were four real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Church Farm Harrys Heifer which was quite a nice drink, the other beers were Purity UBU/Mad Goose and Doom Bar.
Background music was playing and the bar was quite busy with drinkers.
We preferred Pomeroys to this place even though the beer was cheaper here and a better choice, the place needs a good clean and spruce up.

Modern, open-plan pub restaurant. Not visited but looks comfortable enough and handpumps visible, so might be worth a look.

New pub. Opened in November I think. New build, very retro, great music! Been in to eat a couple of times & for a few drinks with friends. Very cleverly adapts to suit all moods. Breakfast, quiet coffee, bring the kids, evening out with mates, quiet meal with partner. Seems to do the lot! Well worth a visit.
