Roadside pub on the main road from Green Hammerton to Boroughbridge in the lower Ure valley. The slightly austere exterior belies a pleasant interior, formed of a reassuringly traditional bar with an L Shaped panelled restaurant to the side. The bar is furnished with copper topped cast iron base tables with stools and comfy bench seating, the flooring is a mix of quarry tiles and carpet while a tasteful collection of plates and pictures complete the decor. A range of well kept beers from Fullers, Marstons and John Smith are served from the three handpumps. Being just on the edge of Little Ouseburn it has a good village pub atmosphere.
