This is a good looking cotswold stone pub on the main road through Kingston St. Michael renowned locally for its real ales and good pub food.
Not much seems to have changed internally since the previous review, but at the moment most of the car park to the side has been given over to additional outside seating under gazebos.
This is a Free House and the bar supports an impressive row of hand pumps. However there were only two real ales and a cider on for our visit in these strange Covid restriction times, but both the Butcombe Original and Otter Bitter were in good condition.
We primarily came here to eat and in that respect there was very good food menu different from your usual pub grub and the Pork and black pudding roulade we went for were top notch.
A warm welcome and good service levels from the young restaurant section staff, this is clearly a well run village pub and long may it continue

Large L Shaped building with a equally long L shaped bar. 7 hand pumps serving 5 bitters and a Weston's Cider from recollection. Popular for both food and drink with a separate back section for what appeared to be an additional area for eating. Numerous bar stools gives it a local feel as it's not absorbed solely with food sales.
