E TA left this review about The Horseshoe

A village pub dating from the 18th Century now offering food, ale and B&B. There is a tiny car park, and parking in the adjacent ox drove is problematic. There is a pleasant garden outside, and the views across the AONB are wonderful. There are two bars inside, and a small restaurant area in a conservatory annex. The décor is cluttered with rural bric-a-brac. On entering the pub, the cellar is visible form the door, making obvious the 5 real ales on stillage and the 2 boxes of local cider. Ales were Otter, 2 x Palmers, Bowman’s Swift One and one I failed to note. The Swift One was in perfect condition. Staff were very welcoming, the locals were a decent bunch and the atmosphere was that of a traditional country pub with no modern frills. Very much worth seeking out, a good place to B&B and an excellent inclusion in a walking or cycling crawl along with the Talbot, Crown, White Horse and Queen’s Head.

Quinno _ left this review about Horseshoe Inn

Unspoilt 18th century red brick pub in a remote rural setting. Four gravity poured ales (Otter Bitter, Plamers Copper, Keystone VPA and Waylands Sixpenny Special) alongside Hecks Farm Cider. The interior is all low beams and there’s a bar serving two rooms plus a hatch in hallway. Lots of agricultural and horsey implements are hung on the walls. Fantastically huge green valley garden to the rear with lots of flora and fauna.

A super summer pub, and a quintessentially English experience.
