Time for a proper review after a revisit with a mobile phone and 7 less pints inside. This is a very attractive stone built pub up the hill a bit and away from the general shenanigans of Henley town centre, so it’s a more relaxed locals place. It’s a long narrow front facer over three one step levels.; the main bar and right side are traditional basic, with well-worn plank flooring, sports TV and some hanging tankards. To the left is a cosier carpeted room with red walls, half-length white painted wood panelling, dark wood ceiling beams and floor-to-ceiling supports. Three pumps with two on; Brakspear Oxford Gold and a pedestrian Brakspear Bitter. It's a decent local with a bit of character, shame about the beer quality (just like so many Brakspear outlets – and people wonder why so few ever trouble the Good Beer Guide these days!). 6.5

Having had a few by this point I must be honest and say that I can't remember too much about the Row Barge beyond:

-An extremely good pint of Brakspear Bitter
-Bit dark inside
-Pub cat
-Toilet signs were in Welsh

So I guess I'd best pop back in again. Rated 6

Cosy little old stone-built pub at top end of town, with lots of beams and a comfortable lived-in feel. The right hand side is the bar area, with a narrow room down to the left with some hewn wooden tables. Quite a nice and surprisingly large hidden garden past the gents! Brakspears Bitter and monthly special on draught in fair condition - Cask Marque listed. Good place to escape the bustle of town.

Long thin pub on 2 levels. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised to realise that the men were outnumbered about 3 to 1 by the ladies. I don't know if this is normal in here, but it certainly makes a change. Brakspears Bitter and Special were on offer. We both had the Bitter which was a good pint in nice surroundings. There is a very pleasant ambience in this pub, it wasn't very full, but everyone was very friendly. We'll call back again next time we're in Henley
