Steve C left this review about Lower House Inn

The Lower House Inn has a tile floored bar to the left that faces a small seating area with large TV in the front left. The handful of customer present during a recent midweek afternoon visit were in this area watching horse racing. Sky and BT Sports are heavily advertised so football is shown when playing. To the right of the entrance is a raised seating area with banquettes and another couple of televisions that were switched off in favour of some background music. A fairly new looking extension has been built on the back which acts as a function room, which is also heavily advertised. The garden is now a small decked area that looks onto the car park. The pub was OK, but the service wasn’t the friendliest and only standard keg was available so I’d probably walk past if I found myself in the area again.

A smart locals pub that looks to have been refurbished fairly recently. The bar and a small seating area are to the left as you enter with a raised seating area to your right. There's a taproom to the rear which also serves as a function room when required which has a pool table and a dartboard. There's also a decent sized beer garden at the back. The lounge areas have several large TV screens. Only a few in on my Friday, late afternoon visit, but everyone was friendly enough. No real ale sadly, so I had to have a half of fizz at £1.50. It's a pleasant enough community pub.
