Country inn located on a busy junction on the main A39 in north Cornwall. The pub is split into three parts, with a central bar being used mainly by drinkers, but with a few diners thrown in, a separate dining area to the left housing some overspill drinkers and a games room off to the right, complete with a pool table that was occupied by some older schoolchildren. I managed to find a table in the central bar area complete with its slate floor.

Doom Bar is the regular ale. Legend was the guest ale, with Rosie's Pig also available (fetched from the cellar). Locals sat at the bar seemed an interesting bunch, including one who ordered a couple of dessert dishes to go with his beer. One was bread and butter pudding, the other was possibly a cheesecake.

Popped in on a rainy sunday - Great service. Great cavery. Great Beer - two real ales on and I had a decent Sharp's Coaster.

Full of locals, tourists, a live singer (on a sunday afternoon) a dog with his own barstool and Worzel Gummage. Honestly. Only in England.

Recommended.
