Standard turn-of-the-millennium shop conversion Timbo Tavern without much to linger in the memory bar it seeing-off my final Timbo Token of the CAMRA calendar year. Deep red and white open-plan interior. My first pint was murk, changed without fuss by the matronly matriarch duty manager for a pretty good Acorn (NBSS 3.5). Mixed bag, serves its purpose and the GBG listing gives you an idea as to how much competition there is in the branch, I suspect.

Update 18th July 2013

CAMRA discount is 20% off food.

Visit 2nd May 2013

Given that this place is GBG (2013) listed It delivered a lot less than my expectations. It's a fairly typical shop conversion that stretches back a long way. There were ten pumps of which four were devoted to the two GK regulars, one was the incredibly boring Hobgoblin available soon, one unused and another which I don't recall. This meant that there were just three guest ales on offer, Adnam's Mayday, Nethergate Mary Mild and Oakleaf Hole Hearted. I went for the Oakleaf at £2.15 which was in good condition.

Given this place's GBG status I expect a much better selection than this and have marked it down accordingly.

Large Wetherspoon's that goes a long way back and has several drinking areas. It seems a lot lighter at the front of the pub than it does at the back.Outside seating area at the back and pavement seating at the front.A fair rage of guest ales on offer.
