I visited Poulton-Le-Fylde on a Tuesday 22/07/2014 and I found that due to local licensing laws all places that sell alcohol on that day & date only were closed.

This bar has improved massively over the past month, with re-branding (still called The Matrix, but now a Cabaret Bar) and under new Ownership as of 1st september 2010...
Drinks are still cheap at the venue and a new set of bar staff have been brought in with the new owner and their manners are exceptional!
Not only is it a 'weekend club/bar,' it now serves food on a weekday with an american theme... Not tried myself but a friend has said it was excellent and worth the money.
The Matrix Bar has really sorted itself out in the past month and now I think I'll become a regular! :D

This is a very poorley run and rough place. The owner and "chef" (and i use the term loosely) can be quite rude and abrasive. The place is filthy and the majority of drinks are 'multipack' cans. Would not reccommend at all.

The Matrix has become the place to be very busy Fri Sat if you can get in. during the day Sat Sun the garden is packed it's the only proper Beer garden in Poulton
Promo offer at the moment is any bottle beer or alcho pop £1.50 House dounles £2.50 with mixer
