Sympathetically refurbed this is a now a cracking little pub. Two small rooms downstairs and a further two upstairs all nicely decorated. Friendly barmaid and a good selection of cask ales. The new owners have also recently opened the Old Tap micropub in Waterloo. The barmaid was amazed that I'd already been in there. :-)) We'll be calling in here again next time we're in this part of town.

This pub has now been taken over by the landlord of the Lion Tavern. In the advert for the pubs in MerseyAle he asks for people to bear with him as the pub is refurbished. The refurbishment has obviously started but there's still some way to go in my opinion as the outside is particularly shabby, in fact the other half didn't want to go in at all. Inside it's a very olde worlde two roomer with a fine old wooden bar in the right hand room. The room on the left has what could be described as an eclectic mix differing styles of chairs and table, there's also a couple of Bob Dylan posters but apart from that the walls are empty. Four handpumps on the bar two serving beers from the Betwixt brewery. I had a pint of the Betwixt Skyline which was very good. It's good pub that will no doubt improve again over the next few months.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Belvedere

With the nearby Cracke not sticking to its published opening times and with the usual dismissive attitude from the owner, we concluded our evening in Liverpool in the Belvedere.

This is a tiny mews pub with a small bar area and a side room either side of a narrow corridor. There is a unisex toilet in the corner, which has recently been refurbished and is a noticeable improvement on what was there previously.

New owners appear to be friendly and welcoming. They have retained the real ale selection, which is now listed on a large blackboard opposite the bar. Ales were Castle Rock Army of Me, Carnival Ribbons of Distinction - Nelson & Spitting Feathers Session Beer. Craft beers were Vaux Double Cross, Polly's Trouble On Central & Mobberley Loco Juice.

There's always an interesting crowd in here offering equally interesting conversation. Well worth seeking out.

The reopened Belv is the same layout as before and still has 4 handpulls for real ale. It looks a bit sterile inside at the moment due to the bare walls (except for a large blackboard/chalkboard in the bar area displaying beers and prices)). A unisex toilet is basically the only change.

This should have been my sixth heritage pub of the day, but having passed the Cracke just after opening time and found it not open, I came along here instead. It's well worth looking for anyway, though easily missed in its quiet cul de sac. The front door opens into a drinking corridor with well preserved glazed screens, the bar being through a door in this on the right, and a lounge to the left. Four hand pumps on the bar with three beers from Liverpool Brewing company, none of which looked likely to be to my taste so I went for the guest from Ad Hop: Endeavour, which was in very good condition and impressed me to the extent that my notes say "best beer so far" (though to be fair the competition had been pretty poor). The barman was friendly and helpful, not only reassuring me that the Cracke would probably be open if I went back that way, but also giving me directions to the recently reopened Bridewell and asking me to say "Hi" to the people who are running it.

Called into this 2019 Good Beer Guide pub which is a 2 roomed community pub. The barman was very busy conversing with the customers in the bar and we did feel a little intrusive and took our drinks into the other room. I went back in to get the cask marque recorded on the app, and the silence as conversation ceased hit me as I tried and failed, then found it was out of date so not a cask marque pub. We had Liverpool Brewing Co Floral Pale, and Big Bog Will o the wisp, both of which were fine.

Another very traditional feeling Liverpool boozer. There is a small bar area to the right, a basic lounge off to the left and a small drinking corridor between the two with access to the side of the bar. I didn't find it felt particularly friendly in the bar, I felt almost like we were intruding, so I was pleased to be able to retreat to the lounge with my drink.

The bar had four hand pulls, two on by Beer Monkey in addition to Will O The Wisp by Big Bog and White Rat by the Rat Brewery at the time of my visit.

I particularly liked the old Walkers of Warrington lamps outside, though they weren't lit so not sure if they are functioning. Hidden down a side street, we almost missed this one, but was good to have tried it.

the bar is tiny and packed at all times so you have to struggle to get served sometimes. today the service was excellent and I found the 'other room' blissfully empty. every time i've had an 'elderflower' beer it has been truly lovely and this was no exception. well worth a visit and bonus points if you can find it without a map

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Belvedere

Retains quite a lot of heritage features in the compact bar and side Smoke Room including some glazing and the semi-open corridor partition beside the counter. Also has a few wooden picnic benches out front. Phoenix Hopsack, Brimstage Traper's Hat, Hophurst Mellors (£1.50, half) available from three of four handpumps. Plenty of interest for those interested in gin too.

The descriptions below are accurate and its quite popular because of the Liverpool Gin that comes in a fishbowl with a stem that is usually filled with Asda's fruit stall. The pub's nice the Gin is supposed to be nice.

Rex Rattus left this review about Belvedere

This early 18th Century pub is Grade II listed as well as being on the CAMRA Regional Inventory of pubs with historic interiors. It has a corridor/bar with two distinct rooms leading from it; the room on the left is the plusher of the two and is probably regarded as the saloon or lounge bar. The room on the right has the bar counter, and spying four handpumps on the counter I made a beeline for this room. There were a couple of ales from Liverpool Organic Brewery (Sunshing and William Roscoe), LVE Light Ale, and George Wright Hop Fusions Marynka. I didn't see any sign of food.

This is an unspoilt local tucked away down a side street. There are some nice brewery mirrors, as well as some original etched and cut glass, mainly decorating the screening between the hallway and the "public" bar. I tend to like these unspoilt locals, and this one is no different. Having four real ales on is also a massive plus as
