Passed by today, but did not call in. I spotted two hand pulls at the bar both offering Joseph Holt ales. Just to warn anyone who may be planning an early visit, the pub is listed as opening at 11am on WhatPub, but did not open its door until midday today. It looks as if the original entrance would have been in the centre at the front of the pub, but this has been converted to a window at some point and the entrance is via a lean-to porch to the left of the building. I would therefore assume the inside has been opened out and is fairly open plan.

A nice enough Joseph Holts pub. Its on the main drag through Goldborne and is friendly pub of an afternoon. 3 rooms with a lounge to the left and a split-in-two bar to the right. The bar and lounge have their own servery. There are a total of 6 handpumps on the bars (4 in the public, 2 in the lounge). Sadly only Holts Bitter was on but it was nice and cheap as chips at £2.17 a pint this afternoon. Also, like the other pubs in Golborne, the post code may very well be Warrington/Cheshire but its actually in Greater Manchester.
