David Ross left this review about The Drumgelloch

Housed in a nineteenth century miners’ cottage style building, this is a survivor from the time when Drumgelloch was a separate mining village on the outskirts of Airdrie. The exterior looks suitably old, but inside is more modern, with loud music, TVs, a pool table and games machines taking away any semblance of antiquity. There is a separate lounge next door, which was closed on the Friday evening I popped in. On draught are Fosters lager, John Smith’s bitter, Strongbow cider, Guinness and something I hadn’t encountered before called Ginger Grouse (a mixture of Grouse whisky and ginger beer, with a strength of 4% alcohol by volume). A nice enough little pub, but not really worth the mile walk from the town centre solely to visit it.
