I visited La Piazetta on Wednesday (23rd) just before 17:00 when the three small bar areas were starting to fill up with festive local office workers. The draught selection was made up by the likes of Kozel, Peroni and Becks (£2.50 a half) and unsurprisingly for an Italian bistro there was no real ale available. Food is obviously served, but I did not venture up to the restaurant area which is found on the first floor.

I didn’t note the presence of any televisions, but there was different music playing in each section of bar. Although La Piazetta has now extended into the sandwich bar that was next door the interior still probably isn’t big enough to warrant three bars so in some spots there was a bit of a music clash.

This is not my kind of place so I do not plan to return for a beer anytime soon, but I will mention that I found the young woman that served me to be very friendly and polite. Maybe if I find myself back in the area I will try out the restaurant.
