Now a sports bar that does what it says on the tin. Train departure board is a bonus. Mostly booth style seating.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Slug & Lettuce

The Slug & Lettuce is a modern looking pub which is quite close to Clapham Junction station.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped room which runs to the rear, the floor is bare boarded, the bar is on the left side, there are mid sized tables and chairs opposite the bar,the rear right are has comfy bench seating with chairs and some normal tables and chairs.
There were two large screens showing the rugby.
There was one real ale on the bar which was GK IPA,this was a decent enough drink.
The pub was packed on my Saturday afternoon visit.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Slug & Lettuce

Anonymous modern bar, but well lit and thankfully not over-loud - despite being very busy - due to high ceiling and music volume not being pumped up (at least, not yet). Greene King IPA and Doom Bar (£3.90) from the two handpumps.

E TA left this review about The Slug & Lettuce

A large bar in a converted shop close to Clapham Junction. It's tatty and grubby, unappealing to the eye and the nose. There are gaming machines, tv screens and projectors showing sports. The floor is mainly wooden with a raised carpeted area in one corner. The staff are pretty obnoxious and inefficient, while the décor is reminiscent of 1960s sleeze bar with its padded walls and pink hanging lamps, not to mention the glitter ball. The only ale on was Hobgoblin, which while drinkable, had a slight metallic edge to it. A small gang of smokers was blocking the door and deterring passers-by. Food was horrible: overcooked and greasy, and served with a scowl from the staff on what appeared to be an old cheeseboard covered with kitchen roll. This pub represents very poor value for money and I doubt I shall be returning.

Totally soul-less chain bar oustide Clapham Junction station. Unless you really like that sort of thing, why bother?

Steve C left this review about Slug & Lettuce

This is an unremarkable Slug that had no atmosphere to speak of whilst the rugby was playing on Saturday, even though they were showing it on a small projector screen.

I won't be returning.
