David Ross left this review about Inn on the Loch

Originally a boathouse on Lanark Loch on the edge of the town, the building has been modernised, extended and converted into a bar and restaurant. The latter occupies the upper floor and includes an outdoor balcony overlooking the Loch, whose white swans provide the motif on the Inn’s pub sign. The lower floor is the “Café Rock Music Bar,” which also offers bar meals and has an outdoor decked seating area facing the Loch. Clean, tidy and commodious, the décor is modern and the atmosphere family friendly, although not overly expensive at £2.90 for a pint of Belhaven Best. The background music is low key and unobtrusive, although it does advertise live bands after 9.00 p.m. on some nights. A very pleasant pub, although the best thing about it is really the lochside setting, which makes it the perfect place for a drink on a summer evening.
