The Bier Halle situated about 100 yards from Central station. There is only a single door way and a green coloured canopy over the door giving any signs of the place making it very easy to miss. When the weather permits there are large gazebos and tables on the street, which also belongs to the pub allowing one to sit outside. The pub leads downstairs to a basement where there is a descent sized bar and plenty of seating and tables. There is food available with 2 for 1 offers. There are over 100 world beers available.

This cellar bar is entered by going downstairs from a busy street, and both the name and the hype lead you to expect something vaguely German. However, the experience is a disappointing one if you have images of steins of helles delivered by busty ladies in tight Bavarian costumes. What you get is noise, megakeg and pizzas (and other assorted junkfood), and not a bratwurst in sight. It's a cellarbar with some Alpine pictures on the wall, nothing else, and there are better nearby.
