Now converted to the more upmarket Miller & Carter Steakhouse format. The much extended interior is tastefully furnished, divided up with many pillars and decorated with assorted bull artworks, which can be a little strange when eating steak! The large lounge area to the right of the entrance is normally kept for drinkers rather than diners, presumably except at very busy times. Outside there is a garden but it is a little overwhelmed by the main road. Beerwise, it does now have Doom Bar and London Pride on handpump and in good condition, as befits a Cask Marque listing. Not the most exciting of beers, but a pleasant enough lounge-style place for a drink.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Otter

Fairly typical Harvester, with various spurious outbuildings added to the original pub (I mean - an oast???). Interior quite nicely decorated and furnished, mainly given over to the food of course, but retaining a nice lounge bar at one end. Sadly let down by the appalling current Harvester beer policy: trendy lagers, Tetley Smooth or keg IPA.
