Ian Mapp left this review about The Britannia

I've only been once for an hour, but I loved what I saw.

Seems to be a much loved community pub, with lots of entertainment on different days - including regular live music.

Multi roomed and each one seemingly different. I made my way to a delightful space, chock block full of chesterfields sofas and armchairs, in front of a roaring real fire.

The thing to put the icing on the cake was the house beer.

I cant determine much from the Working Mon's Dark - Untappd merely states "Yeasty" - but it was a strong mild, with a hint of chocloate richness, maybe smokiness. It left lashing of lacings all down the side of the glass.

Enough to tempt me back to try it again.

Couldnt get a photo, due to external gaspers! I'll try and load an interior shot to see if gets accepted. No other humans on show, so should be OK :-)

Enjoyed my visit here. A good selection including HPA, Three Tuns Solstice, Golden Glow, Woods Shropshire Lass, Hobsons Town Crier, Church End Fallen Angel and Britt Brewery Working Mons Dark. The three we tried were all excellent. Well worth a visit.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Britannia Pub & Brewery

A traditional style pub, which started brewing their own ales in September 2017. There was a choice of 10 hand pumped ales on our visit, three of which were from their own Brit Brewery, they also had a choice of six ciders. We went for the Froth Blowers, Sadlers Mellow Yellow, Sadlers Thin Ice and one from Brit Brew, which was a decent pale ale. All of their beers were in good shape and a group of drinkers in the right hand lounge where we were sat, were definitely enjoying their beer choices. This side lounge had a Victorian cast iron fireplace which was lit. Seating was brown leatherette bench seating around the perimeter walls with some tables and chairs the two window bays, were a popular choice with the locals. The main part of the pub was on the left hand side of the entrance and housed the main part of the bar, along with all the handpumps. l also noticed a small snug at the end of the room which had just enough room for a settee. The rear room was a dining room and a small patio through a pair of French Doors. Bar meals are served, along with a stack of various cobs on the bar, along with pork pies and scotch eggs.

After a major refurbishment this is now called The Britannia Pub & Brewery serving 9 real ales, craft ales and real ciders. It also has its own brewery - Britt Brewery.

Soup Dragon left this review about Britannia Inn

A detached cottage style pub and eatery in yellow render, with red paint work, with side extension and a patio

The interior has two rooms. The bar, to the right on entry, is in an 80s styled white artex and black beam, with white ceiling and brown seats. It has a pool table, dart board and pull down screen for sports events. The lounge and dining room is to the right on entry. It is in white and wood panel, with white ceiling and red seats and a rather tired looking carpet now - the dining area is separate. There is a nice tiled fireplace which had a fire going. There were some prints, but it did look a little bare. The service was really friendly and there were just a couple of locals in. The music was general and at an OK level.

Beer; tap stuff with both Banks's MILD and Dark MILD, with Holden's Golden Glow on handpull. The Dark MILD was fine

A nice little pub and one i could have just stayed in for a few, especially if i played darts - definately worth a visit and i will pop back - especially as the Robert Peel is near next door - a good combination!
