Soup Dragon left this review about Fox

A detached Crown Carvery pub/eatery with front and side patios. The place has a fun frontage, with some character - mock medieval stone etc - however, the rest of the exterior of the building is bland

The interior has three rooms and seems to go on forever. The bar is first encountered - it is in white, yellow and wood - i think - it was a bit dark as the world cup final preperations were on the big pull down TV screen. You then move trough to a large lounge, which is in mixed coloured walls of greens, whites, salmon amongst others - there were also some general prints on the walls for interest. This then leads through to a large carvery area - but i was too knackered to go further, so didn't really see that, as i wasn't intending to eat. There was some stained glass and plenty of wood in the other rooms and the place looked tidy. The service was fine, the music was at an ok level, the clientele seemed to mainly be in the bar for the footy - there were a couple in the large lounge and a few outside - i dont know how many were eating.

Beer; usual keg stuff with a decent enough M&B MILD. On handpull there was GK IPA and Pedigree.

I am not a big fan of Crown Carveries in general, but at least this place has a recognised bar area and a tidy lounge - it had MILD and real ale. So fair play to you, i wish you well - gastropubs are everywhere around Sutton Coldfield, but at least you are looking at the wider audience!
