Walking up the hill from the harbour, I was hoping that this pub was going to be as good as the write-ups below implied. It was. The layout hasn’t changed, and it was a good place to sit and rest despite the annoying background music. Several other people had thought the same, though some of them were having a quick drink while waiting for the bus that stops immediately outside. It feels overall like a really friendly local, not at all spoiled by the tourist trade. Two ales on, Tribute and Proper Job, both in good condition. Well worth a visit.

After climbing back up the hill from the harbour area to catch the bus, it was great to sit outside this pub with a beer. Through the door you enter into what appears to be a small games room with a pool table and dart board, and go up a step into the bar area. St Austell Proper Job, Trelawney and Tribute available.

Blackthorn _ left this review about Safe Harbour

Decent pub tucked away at the top of a hill. Not one you're going to stumble across walking along Fowey's main street, but worth a walk up the hill by the church. Two separate bars, one kitted out with a pool table and TV screens, the other being a lounge bar with a beamed ceiling and a decent choice of food. The upstairs dining room apparently has good views of the estuary.

Three St. Austell beers on tap, plus Blackthorn cider.
