Town centre modern outfitted pub. A large open plan room with a sectioned off dining area to the right. Some rooms to the rear which I never ventured to. 6 handpulls on the bar with 3 local ales on. Pleasant enough but a bit bland.

Our next stop in Ulverston was the Sun Inn, directly across the road from Beerwolf. It's a rather large pub which had a couple of real ales - Stringer's Gold & Naylor's Blonde. Other than that, there was nothing particularly special about the place. Fairly average for Ulverston.

Modern fit out, bare brick areas, some plastered, laminent floor, chuncky modern furniture, strange end room that seems to be a family area. Decent beer.

This is an end terraced, but large Georgian styled pub in cream with some black paintwork. There is a central entrace, with neo-classic surround, but the painting of the place has left it looking a little bland. The interior has a massive open plan room, supported by columns. It is in sky blue and cream, with a red patterned carpet. There is a dance floor and a pool table, with lots of TVs showing sport and modern dance music banging away. Old photos and prints are on the walls, but feel a little out of place. One side is given over to an American diner, with a TV and American styled pictures (Norma Jean Baker for example). The service was OK and the place quite busy. Beer; usual tap stuff with Ulverston Brewery's Flying Elephants on handpull - i was quite surprised to find it was decent. Loud town centre sporty pub, but it had a decent and uncommon real ale, so worth a brief stop off.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Sun Inn

The Sun Inn is a large white painted pub that is in the middle of Ulverston.
Once inside we went in a largish room that was carpeted and very empty on our Sunday dinner visit, the pub looked more of a night time venue.
There were two real ales on the bar and i had a drink of Tetley bitter which was ok but not at its best the other beer was Websters Yorkshire bitter.
This pub might have been a bit more interesting if visited when bussier.
