Heavily refurbished with the feel of cafe, light pastel colour scheme and modern furniture .There is a raised banquette at one end, high tables near the bar, dining type tables elsewhere.A staircase leads to a higher level unexplored by me.There is an attractive garden to the side of the pub.
The bar does sport 5 handpumps and offered on my trip Coach House Summer Sizzler,MBH Juice Machine and RedWillow Simcoe Idaho 07 (a little warm,NBSS 2.5).Food was quite a feature and doing a good trade but maybe this pub hasn't decided if it is gastro or a boozer. At least they have made an effort with cask, but three ales of similar strength and style was a shame. This was a one pint stop,it didn't feel the place for a session.

Visited yesterday (Tuesday) around 1pm. To describe this pub as a gastropub may be a bit of a stretch but it is certainly "foody" which meant there were a fair few customers in at lunch time (always better than an empty pub). Décor is pleasant and modern with the bar to the left hand side towards the rear. There is a raised area to the rear right which feels a bit more enclosed and cosy. Flowers on the tables added to the look of the place. There is a beer garden to the side.
Five hand pulls at the bar, nothing really jumped out at me so I went for the Plum Porter (Titanic) which I have had several times in the past and had been quite a fan of. Unfortunately it was either not as good as I remembered, or it was not on form in this establishment.
Although the place has obviously been done up fairly recently there are some interesting features remaining such as the old fireplace (front left as you enter) and the glazing on the toilet doors.
I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt over the condition of my Plum Porter and it's still a 7/10 from me and I would be happy to call in again. My half pint set me back £1.75.

The interior consisted of a good sized room, with the bar positioned over on the left hand side. The décor was contemporary in style, bordering on country cottage style. The pub was very comfortable and had good seating areas. Five pumps with four in use, I went for the Abbeydale Contraption. We found the locals friendly and chatty.

As the name suggests, this one is close to the station, and has a bar on the ground floor and a restaurant upstairs. There were 4 cask ales available plus ciders. The ales were Titanic Black Ice, Acorn Old Moor Porter, Pennine Amber Necker and Coach House Blonde.
