Foul night last night and I got really wet but the lovely barman said to go into the toilet and use the hand dryer to get dry; I had to queue it was that bad.

The place was the busiest that we went to and I am not surprised; it is really good and the staff so friendly. The drink list for a bar in Bury was great; Bloody Marys the best I have ever tasted. Bury is getting better but this place is definatley the best in town

When that lovely barman gets to see these nice words, maybe he'll give me a ring

Went in with a group of friends en route to one of BSE's less salubrious nightspots. Wasn't expecting much from the outside but was fairly surprised. One ale was on sale (unexpectedly) which was Nethergate Umbel Magna (hooray!) which in the GK stranglehold of BSE was fantastic. The quality of the beer was good (though turnover was rapid which helps). Staff were impressively quick and good-natured.The interior is obviously very 'modern bar', all pine and chocolate colours. It was a Friday night so it was quite rammed and fairly uncomfortable to stand without knocking into someone. Clientèle were pre-clubbers - girls flashing flesh with hair rigidly straightened and lads with too much gel wearing the latest Primark number, talking quite loudly over the less-than-background music.

Overall, not bad. If you're on a night out here, you could do worse.
