Real Ale Ray left this review about Dog & Partridge

This is a traditional country pub, with wallpapered walls and carpeted throughout, lots of table lamps and small wall prints. The pub consists of a lounge on the right of entry, which is used for dining. The main lounge bar is along the back wall and had three hand pumps serving a Marstons EPA, Banks Sunbeam and Moorhouses Premier Bitter.
This pub was quite busy on our midweek, lunchtime visit with oap's, who were very well dressed for lunch. The pub was more like a fine dining restaurant, where you were called through to the dining area when your table was ready. The whole ambiance of the place was time warped from 30 - 40 years ago. Even the gents toilets had curtains up across the window and flower pots with dried grasses in. The manager was very inpatient with me and other customers also. Prices here for a pint were ott, especially for a pint of a rather bland tasting Moorhouses bitter.
