same beer choice as the previous review, but Dizzy Blonde was off - no real ale in a Robinsons pub?! it looks like it should be a good pub and it's cosy enough with a beautiful garden at the back. but rubbish beer and rubbish loud dance music on the speakers brings it down a lot.

This is an end terrace Robinson's pub with a patio area at the back. It is a delightful cottage styled pub rendered in cream with black paintwork around the large sash windows and door. The interior has a single open plan room around a small brick central bar. The fact that is was two former rooms can be seen by the two doors and two fireplaces. The room is in white and fake beam walls and ceiling and has sporty and local pub pictures on the walls. There is some nice perimter seating. The TV wasn't on and the background music was general and at a decent level. The service was fine and it was populated by locals - busy enough too. Beer; usual tap stuff with Robinson's Dizzy Blonde and a decent enough Harley's Cumbrian XB. A nice enough pub for a pint, i just didn't understand why i got a plastic glass, which is a put-off

The Globe is a smallish white painted pub that is next door to the Kings Head.
Once inside we went into a smallish room that was comfortable and quite cosy, when we went in this pub it was a Hartleys tied house and there were two real ales on the bar we had a drink of Hartleys bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Hartleys XB.
We thought this was a nice pub to have a drink in.
