Bucking Fastard left this review about Bramsche Bar

A very thorough review from Mr P has hit all the salient points.I would only add that there is a charming verandah at the rear with views over the visitor moorings on the nearby Rochdale Canal.Extremely friendly barmaid, with a sensible control over the volume of the juke box, there are some fine tracks worth putting on to enhance your stay.Had the Marble Lagonda IPA been on this may be as far as we got into the Tod pub scene, and I would always call in when next in the area.Recommended.

Thuck Phat left this review about Bramsche Bar

Mr. Camra describes Bramsche Bar well below so I'll limit myself to saying that it is definitely a bar and not a boozer so if you're after the traditional then this may not suit.
Otherwise it is well worth dropping in. The ale selection is very good with two excellent regulars in Marble Lagonda IPA and Saltaire Blonde with the two guests being Moorhouses Pride of Pendle and Slightly Foxed Tour de Fox. Sadly the Lagonda IPA had run out - it was a Monday evening - and the fresh batch was still settling. Nonetheless, the Saltaire Blonde was in very good nick.
The barmaid was very friendly and welcoming apologising profusely for the lack of Marble, cleaning windows when there wasn't anyone to serve and asking those seated if they'd like another as their glasses were emptied and delivering it to the table if the answer was yes. A real credit to the place and she created a friendly atmosphere.
The other thing well worth nipping in for is the free juke box which has some excellent vintage tunes available. We got stuck into a few of these although I, and probably only I, was disappointed not to find any Human League.
Had the Lagonda IPA been on this would have been a 9 but I very much hope to visit again an have the opportunity to upgrade.

ROB Camra left this review about Bramsche Bar

After an extended period of closure, it's good to see this bar open again after a refurb. It's one room with some comfortable chairs & sofas at the front and some high tables and stools to the rear. The bar is also at the rear on the right. There's an outdoor area at the back overlooking the Rochdale canal and the unusual artwork on the facing wall. There's a sign that says more seating downstairs, but there isn't really, or at least there wasn't on our Saturday evening visit. The toliets are also down the stairs. The gents toilet wall is covered in NME front covers which is a nice touch. 4 handpumps on the bar now serving changing local ales. My pint was in good condition and Ms CAMRA also said her red wine was good. We'll be calling back here next time we're in Tod.
