Situated in gentrified Brook Green, this is a very pretty pub in a quaint location away from the grit of the immediate area. As mentioned, this pub is very large inside with a very spacious beer garden. The interior is quite eclectic with low ceilings, exposed beams, part hard floor and part parquet. Certain aspects are also quite modern too; in all, something of a hotch-potch but nothing to offend. There are also old prints relating to the Osram light bulb factory and Lyon's Corner Houses which once occupied Brook Green. The clients are generally young professionals, some with kids, which is no surprise.
There's a basic 3-ale Fuller's range along with Brixton-based Clarkshaw's New World American Pale Ale which was very pleasant though painfully steep at £4.55 a pint. Welcome enough, it would have been cheaper if the barmaid had been blessed with the gift of English and had given me a half as requested.
I would certainly come here again if in the area, but that said, can't actually see myself being in the area again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Queens Head
Nice-looking pub facing Brook Green, with many flowers and much vegetation adorning the traditional facade. Although not that obvious from the front, it has been substantially extended over the years; both to the right-hand side and several times to the rear. Thankfully the former Chef & Brewer days are now a fading memory, and one might now imagine that it had been a Fullers house for ages. The area near the front windows is light and airy, but the interior gets quite dark as you go back due to a lack of windows, various partitions and a low ceiling. The furniture is semi-modern, but not to the extent that the place has been spoilt by some ghastly gastro-pub makeover. It also has quite a large beer garden which is a nice spot on a fine day (but best avoided during the busy periods). Two banks of four handpumps, typically offering well-kept Pride, Seafarers and ESB plus a seasonal (currently Spring Sprinter, £4.09). Closer to the middle of Hammersmith than the riverside pubs, but rather off the beaten track so much less frantic. Overall, you can do a lot worse in the area.

The Queens Head is a very attractive looking Fullers house adorned with hanging baskets that is opposite Brook Green playground and tennis courts. The exterior gives off a vibe of a local country pub, but various extensions to the rear have turned it into a vast pub and restaurant. The front L shaped bar area is pleasant enough with some comfortable seating and low background music. To the left of the bar by the entrance is a small seating area along with the toilet facilities. I needed a tom tit during my visit and struggled to get out of the tiny cubicle. I ended up having to stand on the toilet seat to open the door… I must admit to having had a few pints by this time! Alongside the usual draught suspects are some hand pumps that were drawing London Pride, Seafarers, ESB and Summer Ale during my recent Friday afternoon visit. I went for the Pride which was very good and I found the barman to be very polite.
The dining area at the rear seems to stretch back forever and I found it quite dark. Although there is plenty of seating much of it was reserved including a large area at the rear that was due to host some sort of a gathering. I didn’t see any menus, but this place seems popular with the local office workers. When I used to work in the area back in the nineties I found myself in here a few times, but it has changed a lot since then.
Out the back is a large paved beer garden full of picnic tables and surprise surprise some of these were also reserved.
There is a quiz every Monday from 20:00.
Whether or not this place has improved over the years I’m not sure, but if I worked locally I would consider walking up to here for a spot of lunch and a couple of pints.

Very tardis like as it looks like a quaint little pub but is big and long with little rooms off the main bar and a large outdoor area.Usual range of Fullers beers and the rather annoying guest beer from Gayles.If its brewed at Fullers its not a guest its a Fullers brand.In the summer its a gem of a pub.

This is a Fuller’s pub with almost the full range on, but excluding Chiswick and including Gale’s Seafarers. The half of Seafarers that I had was OK and cost £1.60, so I suppose a pint would be £3.20. Not cheap, but my long-suffering wallet seems anaesthetised to this sort of price by now. The pub itself is very smart and clean, and reasonably comfortable. There are two or three high stools and tables in the front central window area, and a couple of sofas, but the rest of the furniture consists of normal tables and chairs. The mix doesn’t seem out of place here. There’s not much in the way of décor on the walls; a few black and photographs and that’s just about it.
The pub goes back a fair bit on the right, and looks as if it might have been extended at some time, and there is a smaller room on the left with just a few tables and chairs. The ceiling sports some false beams; there is some exposed brickwork on pillars and walls; and the flooring is a mixture of russet tiling, and dark, slate coloured, stonework.
I didn’t eat there, so I can’t comment on the food. There is a garden, but the weather would have to be a good bit nicer for me to venture out there! This is not the sort of pub that I usually go for, but for some reason I rather like this one. I suppose the modernist décor is not too overstated, and I do like Fuller’s ales. I would happily drop in for a pint or two if in the area again, and I’m sure that I could happily spend an evening in here if in the right company.
