Once inside there is a decent sized L shaped room with the bar facing.
The seating is mainly normal tables and chairs to the front right, there is a raised area to the front left, the rear left had bench seating in bays to the left and normal tables and chairs.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Acorn Old Moor Porter which was a very nice drink, the other beer was Sheffield Blonde.
This bar was packed on my mid Saturday afternoon visit with student types,so much that it was standing room only which slightly spoilt my visit here.
This is a decent enough bar for a quick drink.

There are a couple of hand pumps, of which one was not available and the other had Springhead Roaring Meg when I was here the other day. It's a spacious cafe-type bar which spreads out towards nearby Devonshire Green when the weather is nice. Given the proximity of the Old House and The Hop, real ale lovers are better accommodated elsewhere. For those who like this sort of thing: go for it!
