Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The William Aylmer (JD Wetherspoon)

Housed under a very undistinguished office block on the northern edge of the grim town centre, this elongated 'spoons is in two parts, each large enough to be a pub in their own right (although only the right-hand one has a bar). Usual furniture and decor throughout, plus a limited amount of pavement seating by the main entrance. Mauldon's Silver Adder and Goffs White Knight (£2.10) in addition to the regular trio of Doom Bar, Greene King IPA, and Abbot, with Blindmans Golden Spring have run out as my pint was being poured.

Harlow must be a strong contender for the most horrible town in the UK so I wasn't really hoping for much from this JDW.
It's less central than I expected being stuck on a side road at the North end of the main shopping area.
It's set in the ground floor of a typical ghastly Harlow office block and is long and narrow with the bar area on the right and a dining area on the left. The dining area was quiet on my Saturday afternoon visit but the bar area had a fair few in.
There are three banks of five hand pumps here but there was lots of doubling up. I noticed the two GK beers, Doom Bore, Broadside, Wadworth Dungarvan Irish Red, Jenning's Snecklifter and Kelham Island Pale Rider. I went for the Pale Rider (£2.20) which was really quite cold (not something I would normally comment on) and hazy.
I thought this was an average or possibly even below average Spoons so wouldn't return but mainly because I don't want to ever visit Harlow again.

Occupying the ground floor of a typical 60's office block, this 'spoons has two distict areas,to the left of the front door is a respectable ,raised seating area with a smart carpet and small library in one corner. There are some prints describing the building of the New Town.To the right of the entrance is the main drinking area with a low ceiling and the long bar split into three sections by wooden pillar deviders, part of the internal design. There also appears to be a clear split in the clientele,so if thinking of entertaining your maiden aunt,I would suggest turn sharp left, while to the right around the bar are fine specimens of life in Harlow New Town and a bank of fruit machines.
This is a GBG regular ,which seems justified by 14 handpumps, offering a good selection of real cider (5),festival ales(6) and some usual suspects.Prices are very cheap which ensures a good level of custom and my Acorn 1887 Tangerine Dream was in good nick.
This is really the only real ale outlet in the Town centre (Yates aside) and for that reason alone is worth a visit. It's earthy but the ale's fine. There is a very good noodle bar opposite the entrance if you dont fancy the microwaved 'spoons fare.

Long and narrow Wetherspoon's with a bar area at one end and drinking/eating area at the other.not a very welcoming pub but at least they had a very good range of guest beers on offer.
