Alan Winfield left this review about The Yew Tree

The Yew Tree is a short walk from the middle of Hucknall.
When i first went in this pub it was a John Smiths tied house, which was unusuall for Hucknall,no real ales on at the time.
On a very recent visit the pub has been opened out inside, once inside the bar faces, the main drinking area is L shaped running to the rear, the seating was tall tables and stools to the front and tables and chairs to the rear the far end of the room was slightly raised, all of this area was carpeted.
There was a large oblong shaped area to the left which had a pool table and two darts boards in it.
There were four pumps on the bar, with one in use on my midweek visit,i had a drink of Lincoln Green Bowman which went down very well.
The pub was quite busy for a Thursday afternoon with locals ranging in age, there was a TV showing music videos, but i think it would be live football at the weekend.
This pub is a regular outlet for Lincoln Green beers.
