I hadn't planned on including this one in my Eastwood circuit, but having found the Old Wine Vaults not open and heard that the previous manager had moved to the Three Tuns, decided to have a look. I caught Shep, as he is known, having a crafty fag in the doorway but he quickly put it out and came in to serve me. There are eight hand pumps split between two sections of the bar, with only two beers on but more planned. I went for the Totally Brewed Guardian of the Forest, which went down well. Someone else had what turned out to be the last pint from a barrel of Fullers London Pride, and declared it to be still in good condition. The beer list is from Punch Taverns, so there is a bit of a struggle to compete with the various micropubs that have sprung up in town and their free-of-tie beer offerings. Shep is an engaging and enthusiastic pub manager and regaled us with stories of the pubs he has been in where he has been asked to turn them around after years of neglect, such as not cleaning the beer lines, like *ever*. This is a very nice pub and I hope he is able to make a go of it here.

The Three Tuns is on a narrow street that is behind the main nottingham road,the pub is set well back from the road.
When i first went in here there were a couple of rooms and i had a drink in the bar which was a decent room the lounge was a lot smarter.
This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Shipstones bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Shipstones mild.
This was quite a nice pub to have a few drinks in.
I dont know what beers are on here now.
