Soup Dragon left this review about HQ Bar

Renamed again, the former Butler's Bar is now HQ. It has a court area at the front, with bench seats. The building appears to date to around 1900 (former industrial premises maybe), and has a brick upper with dog tooth cornice, and a white brick lower. The new bar is a karaoke bar, or so it appears. As i entered the L-shaped room, i noticed a large music set up, which only started blaring out after i had got in. The volume was only beaten by the din of the the mixed clientele that shouted, whooped and celebrated each song and piece of hilarious mobile footage in an unrestrained American chat show fashion. There is a jukebox, too! The room is in cream and brown painted wood, with a few old pictures on the walls. The service was fine and the beer was the basic tap choice - i had Guinness and left quickly. Great if you are into the karaoke at volume, but not a lot for the rest of us.
