Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Golden Lion

Marston's estate-type pub with a seemingly disused lounge in the single-storey part of the building. The dominant feature in the bar is the pool table, but there is a small seating area by the front windows. Outside, there are a few wooden benches in the front car park but that seems about it. No real ale either from the pair of handpumps, so it was the Banks's Mild (£2.70) before moving onwards.

Standard "estate" pub. Friendly service. I had Banks's Amber (or bitter in old money!) which was OK.

This is a typical 1960s blandy exterior. It is a Marston's pub. It is like a large house, with a low-level extension, mainly in undressed brick and with some cream render. There is a front patio and rear beer garden.

The interior has a bar in the main part and a lounge in the extension area. The bar is a straight room in red, cream and wood, with some cream painted brick. The ceiling is white square panels. There is a Wolves shirt on the wall and some trophies dotted about. There is a dart board and a TV, which had motor racing on at my visit. The lounge is in red and cream, with white ceiling and it is carpeted. There are old photos of Bilston on the walls and the TV wasn't on. They serve food here from 12-5 and it seemed a decent enough menu - but i didn't eat. The service was fine and the small clientele mixed.

Beer; usual tap stuff, with Banks's Bitter, a decent Banks's MILD and Jennings Tizzie Wizzie on handpull.

I was more than happy after popping in - 3 real ales from the Marston's range and a good contrast between bar and lounge.
