E TA left this review about Ship Inn

An 18th Century village pub with a large, sculptured, formal riverside garden and a small car park. Recently reopened after a difficult few years, it's now a very pleasant place to come to eat and drink. The ground floor has been knocked through to form a single long bar and restaurant. At one end is a small comfortable seating area with a piano and an open fireplace. The remainder of the room is furnished with dining tables plus one or two bar stools in the middle. The décor was updated a few years ago. They do breakfasts during the week, and there is a pleasant ambiance. The staff were friendly. Three ales on, Purity Pure Gold, 6d Best and Bombardier, all in truly first class condition. It's now an excellent venue for food and drink, well worth making an effort to visit.
