Located at the brow of a hill this two-roomed pub is comprised of Lounge Bar (it's marked on the entrance door you walk through) and Games Room which houses a pool table and dartboard. The Lounge Bar looks to be part of the original pub with the odd beam and a nice fireplace between doors to the Ladies and Gents which has two white stone lions each end of the hearth. There's a newish carpet with a small wooden bar apron and standard tables and chairs. Fuller's London Pride and Courage Best - £3.70 for a pint of the latter which was in good shape and served by a very friendly barlady (the Pride was £3.90 by comparison). A Monday evening visit probably wasn't the time to drop by as five people (including the barlady) were seated in front of the bar chatting, but at least I wasn't made to feel unwelcome.

Can't say enough good things about this pub!
A really lovely interior.... real log fire, beams on the ceiling. Beautiful!
The staff make you feel right at home - most welcoming and very friendly.
The food is gorgeous and the prices are extremely reasonable.
They really have thought of everything too - there's even a covered area on the side of the pub for smokers; complete with comfy sofas and chairs.
They've even got heaters for all those chilly evenings.
I really can't fault this pub at all.... I highly recommend a visit!
