Sadly, this pub has closed again less than one year since it reopened. Even with its position on the A5, it is probably too large to run with the level of trade it gets. Cerrigydrudion is once again a 'dry' town, with all of it's three pubs closed.

The Saracen's Head reopened in May 2011 after 18 months of closure. Due to the condition of the place after two winters of decay, the kitchens are finally due open in mid October. They are hoping food will give them an upturn in trade despite the lateness of the season. The large long room was very quiet at 9.00pm on a Saturday night. The place still has a drab "I've been closed" look and will need more work to attract the punters.
The regular Real Ale is Greene King IPA and the guest ale was from Conwy Brewery (but sold out on my visit). The pub opens from 6.00pm in the week and from 12 noon at weekends. Accommodation will restart as soon as the bedrooms are ready. The village that used to have three pubs in the 90's is no longer publess!
