Friendly ale house in central Leeds, though only got chance to see the street level. Good beer

ROB Camra left this review about Slocken

A very modern bar with lots of music posters on the wall. It specialises in pizzas, which I have to admit looked very good. There are three levels to this bar. The top level has two pool tables, a table football and a dartboard. The second level is apparently used for live music and there was a drum kit set up and some guitars in a corner, although there was no-one actually in there. 4 handpumps on the bar with a good selection of local beers. My pint was in good nick and Ms CAMRA enjoyed her half as well. We'll happily call in here again.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Slocken

A modern urban style bar with exposed brick and steel work. The bar counter was formed from concrete and the bar front had corrugated steel panels. A collection of skateboards on the wall between the entrance added interest and colour. Four hand pumps with all four in use, we went for the Kirkstall Session IPA and Sunbeam Blinded by the Light. Their beers was in excellent condition and the prices were reasonable.

Old Boots left this review about Slocken

Three floor bar promising beer and pizza, beer wise there were four on originating from Kirkstall (Black Rose stout - excellent) Rat and Sunbeam today plus a range of 10 keggy beers on the back wall. 7" and 14” pizzas are available in various interesting flavours (£7-12). Long thinish space, decor from mix of posters and blackboards with a whiteboard area of enamelled signs at the back. Upstairs is a bare brick space with form tables and chairs, a selection of instruments in the corner suggests occasional music use. What Pub says there's a games room is located on the second floor but I didn't get up there.
