Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Unicorn
A fine, traditional pub which retains a multi-roomed layout around a (near) island bar. The decor and furniture are not over-elaborate, but there are many features of interest. Four beers available from the various handpumps scattered around the counter - Bass (x2) plus Golden Pippin and IPA (£2.65) from the Copper Dragon brewery. Overall, worth seeking out (but I hope it usually has a more upbeat atmosphere than I found on my first visit).

A very nice traditional pub with various drinking areas. Smart leather bench seating around a large bar. Very much a local feel but it was very friendly and welcoming. Seems to be tied to the Copper Dragon Brewey, and their beers were very good.

A multi roomed pub wth a very large island bar which means it can be difficult to move around the pub at busy times. There's a narrow bar area and lounge plus a larger lounge to the right. There's also a small rear room where there's a TV. There's a function room upstairs which I didn't visit. This pub gets pretty busy at lunchtimes and early evening with a bunch of friendly, more mature locals. I've been in here at 10 at night and it's been very quiet though. Several handpumps, but only 2 on during my visit Draught Bass & Copper Dragon Golden Pippin. The draught Bass is always good in here. A Manchester institution.
