Tucked away from the main drag but handy for the stadium. Sport/Wembley photos on walls
Standard keg.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Green Man Hotel

Large, multi-room pub and hotel; close to Wembley stadium but rather improbably hidden away in some residential streets. Food-led most of the time, but incredibly busy before any major event. Real ale all sold out when I visited, so made do with a swift but horribly over-priced pint of John Smiths (£4.00) in the spacious beer garden.

Disappointing that all three pumps were off but there was a sincere apology around late deliveries. Guinness £3.75 a pint which is excessive for what the pub is. Decent basic bar food menu, the quantity was perhaps better than the quality.

I stayed at this hotel when down in London a few weeks back for an event.Very comfortable rooms and the service in the bar was quick, and the bar staff were friendly. This place would make a good base if you were going to London to do some sightseeing.I paid £35 for two people, which for hotel prices in London was a bargain. You are only about 15 mins by public transport from central London.

This is a nice sized pub that is attached to a large hotel that is popular with football and music fans due to the close proximity to Wembley Stadium and Arena. It has a huge car park that had a few coaches parked up that I imagine ferried in some Kiss fans as they were playing in the arena on Thursday when I visited. I was surprised when I walked in as there was a band set up and playing at 19:00 which I suppose was for the mascara clad masses to get them in the mood, but it was extremely loud and I was glad to escape through the conservatory to the huge beer garden at the rear. As the FA Cup final was only two days after my visit there was a large marquee in the far corner and a few portaloos for the expected crowds from Portsmouth and Surrey. There is also another building that was closed so I’m not sure what goes on there, but the steak bap van was in position and what looked like a bottled beer serving area was also attached to the rear of the pub. A small children’s play area with slide can be found to the left of the garden which is always handy for keeping the kids amused on a hot summer’s day.

The pub itself is clean and airy and I found the staff to be polite. San Miguel was available alongside the usual draught products and although I opted for the Guinness, which was good, I also spotted Bombardier, Brakspear and Courage Best on hand pump.

I counted two plasma screens which were showing the 20/20 cricket on Sky, but the live music was obviously taking centre stage.

This is one of the better pubs in Wembley (which isn’t hard) and I would use this place if I lived locally. I may even pop in next time Brentford get to Wembley!

If the climb up the steep hill doesn’t make you want to call in the Green Man for a pint, nothing will. It does initially seem a bit strange to find such a huge pub in this residential backwater even taking the proximity of the Wembley Stadium complex into account. Set slightly back from the road in acres of car parking space, the pub (or Hotel to be precise) would have been built at around the time of the original stadium and the area started to expand. It has always been there to cater for for people using the Wembley complex and the pub is definitely built for numbers with most of the interior walls being taken out to make one large walk through bar although there is a small sofa area in a conservatory off to one side. Given the poor standard of pubs in the area, this is one of the better options, although that is not a specific recommendation for a visit out of anything other than convenience. 3 not exactly earth shattering Ales (Tetleys, Green King IPA & Youngs) plus the quality and availability cannot be guaranteed. I have always found the service to be pretty good even when busy and, despite being off the beaten track, it does get packed on event days. There is plenty of additional space in the huge beer garden with its superb views when the weather permits. Other than that, it is an average, functional pub with the usual pub trimmings that you really wouldn’t go out of the way for. Like many of the pubs in the immediate area on stadium event days, they cash in on the crowds by hiking up the beer prices, a practice I find particularly exploitive. Drinking in Wembley is hardly a pleasure at the best of times and I find this practice, a bit like their beer at times, a little hard to swallow.
