A large open-plan outlet aimed at the students. A depressing grey and mushroom shade interior, the main point of note are the ales, which has got it into the 2017 GBG (and many others). Six pumps with five on and Rosie's Pig cider; sadly my Yorkshire BC Mosaic was pretty poor. Also noted Tom Woods Bomber, Gene Pool Primordial, Tetley Gold and Theakston Best. Maybe I was severely unlucky but I classed this as a wasted journey. Hull CAMRA are a generous bunch when it comes to putting pubs in the GBG from this part of town, I thought. 5.5

Pave is a cafe bar type pub with one large room it seemed quite pleasant and relaxed in here though it was at dinnertime there are a few tables and chairs at the front.Iwas surprised to see two handpumps which had Theakstons xb and Theakstons bitter on not a bad place for a drink.

Very modern bar (it's not really a pub) with several real ales on tap. It's great in midweek but we called in on Saturday at 8 and it was already packed. Very minimalist design but a very good pint. Try it on a Wednesday and you might even get a seat. Service was good though even on Saturday.
