Graham Coombs left this review about Jesmond Arms

Conversion of a former glazier's workshop into a rumbustious locals' bar. Outside there are a couple of tables fenced off from the pavement; going in you first have to dodge the darts players strategically located by the door. A long, narrow and slightly spartan high-roofed hall holds a bar to one side, with a pool table tucked away at the back. Two handpumps sadly had clips reversed at time of visit but might have offered Hobgoblin and something unrecognisable. Very much one for the locals but worth including on a crawl if they can keep the beer on.

Marleys is a small one room bar which was very busy on a Saturday afternoon there were no real ales here keg Bass was on the bar plus the usual lagers, Guinness not bad, this was'nt my kind of pub.
