Old Boots left this review about The Grapes

Opened out pub with central servery, the carved counter is impressive but that’s about it. Four pulls with Doombar or a very poor Great Newsome Sleck Dust to choose from other than national kegs. Decor a bit shabby modern grey with standard market town type youngish/middle aged punters.

Quinno _ left this review about The Grapes

Nice looking pub overlooking the square. Heavily modernized within, a horseshoe shaped interior wrapped round an island bar. Light colours and all a bit bland. Four ales; TT Landlord, Boltmaker (so-so), GK IPA and Hobgoblin, no great shakes. Loud and lairy inside with some extremely refreshed young lads overdoing the Paddys day rubbish and to be honest I’m surprised they got served. Felt uncomfortable in here, knocked back my half and moved on sharpish which in retrospect was an excellent decision.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Push Inn

The Push is at the top end of the market place.
It is a large pub with dark bare boards and seems more geared up for upright drinking and probably gets busy at the weekend, there was only one real ale on the bar which was Everards Sunchaser this is a decent light bitter.
There are a lot better pubs not that far from this one.
