Soup Dragon left this review about The Dunvant

A detached Hungry Horse pub and eatery, with a patio area. This place will win no design awards, it is modern and extremely ugly. Half of the place is a single storey build, in cream brick, with a flat protruding window and a roof that overhangs like Merv Hughes' moustache. The other half of the building is worse. It looks like a timber shack in a shanty town. The interior is an open plan room with a central island serving bar. One side is a bar; with pool table, table footy, darts and TV's showing sport. No kids are allowed in here. It is in mustard and patterned purple wallpaper. The other side is the dining area, which is in red, cream and patterned paper. There are landscape pictures on the walls. Again, there are a few TVs, along with little ones in the booth areas - I believe you can turn them off - in case you actually want to talk to the people you are with! We ate - the food was fine enough, especially the 20oz rump steak (well done). The music was varied and at a decent level. The service was friendly and the clientele mixed, made nicer by the clear distinction between the two areas - after all, we didn't want drunks going on the kid's grabbing machines. Beer; usual tap stuff with a decent enough Old Spekky Hen on handpull. It may look horrid, but it did its job.
