This large corner building in a residential area consists of two bars and an outside yard. The building was probably Edwardian or late Victorian, but it has been substantially altered so it's hard to tell. The saloon bar is carpeted and has gaming machines and a dartboard; the latter provides the pub's principle means of entertainment, although they are proud to deliver karaoke every Saturday night. There are well worn bench seats which look long overdue for replacement. The public bar has a pool table and more gaming machines and, somewhat incongruously, an ice-cream fridge. The outside area has tables and a covered smoking area. The staff were awful - it was implied that my coming into a pub and asking for a beer was nothing more than an inconvenince, interrupting as it did the moronic giggling being lavished on the regulars - not a word was said to me as I was served but the giggling resumed afterwards. The only ale on was London Pride which was ok but not best kept. Ironically, there is a sign above the saloon bar which reads: "Strangers are just friends we haven't met yet". I'm glad I'm their friend now, as they won't be offended when I'm honest with them in saying that I don't want to come back. Best left to the locals unless you're visiting.

Easily the best and friendliest local pub in Gosport. They have karaoke every Saturday, loads of dart teams (mens, womens and mixed) and a couple of pool teams. They have a meat raffle every Sunday. The Landlady (Lorna) is the lovely and the Landlord (Rob) has the best selection of darts and darts accesories in the area.
