Becoming a rare breed, one of those little independent pubs that try to do everything, but not necessarily very well. Slightly unkempt round the edges but tidy enough, although the 90s/00s furnishings and decor could do with a refresh. The main room extends round 3 sides of the bar, with a games area down one side and a (Thai) dining room beyond the other. Several sports TVs hang over the proceedings and B&B is available. The biggest shame is the row of 3 handpumps offering Doom Bar, Doom Bar or, er, Doom Bar. Quite why they feel the need to clip it three times I'll never know.

This one had on a couple of real ales - the usual suspects of Doom Bar and London Pride (£2.10 a half). There's a separate restaurant area over on the left with Thai food being the order of the day. Food prices seemed to be fairly reasonable. This place does accommodation, so I guess the restaurant provides breakfasts for guests, as well as meals for any passing trade.

The main bar area is bare-boarded, with a small carpeted area just in front of the restaurant area. Furnishings are banquettes, normal tables and chairs and small round stools. There's a coal effect fire on a small raised area, plus a pool table on the right. I also saw free wi-fi advetised.

There was a baby crying in the restaurant area; not the pub's fault of course, but it never adds to the pleasure of a visit. This had all the appearance of a bar/restaurant attached to a cheap B&B. Paying £2.10 for a half of Pride didn't help either. I'm unlikely to visit again.

Used to live almost opposite and isn't too bad. Same faces in every night and some characters, including Stella-drinking dog in corner. 2 halves to it; one with your pool table, dartboard and jukebox and the other more quiet half. Is good to have the choice, although the smell from the restaurant can get a bit overpowering in the quiet half. Not a brilliant pub but not bad. Handy for the station

Until earlier this week the last time I had been in here was in 1992 whilst I was attending Hounslow Borough College (I think it's called West Thames now, how posh!)

It's changed a bit with the addition of a Thai restaurant which makes the drinking part of the pub a lot smaller than it used to be. The pool table and dart board are still there and an extra couple of screens have been put in for the sports.

Sharps Doombar and Eden were on alongside Black Sheep, John Smiths Extra Smooth and a few bog standard lagers. I had to wait a minute or so for the barman to finish putting pint glasses in the fridge before I was served – no apology was proffered.

I've no real complaints about the pub except for the overpowering smell of Thai food wafting around the pub.
