Steve of N21 left this review about The Wayside

The Wayside is a pub / restaurant situated on the main road between Talybont and Barmouth and has good views across the bay. In the summer season I can imagine this is a very busy tourist pub as its main reason for existence is to service the two large caravan sites opposite on the shore line. It has a nice conservatory but then a kids game room and what looked like a take away fish and chip shop bolted on the end. Obviously family friendly with what I could see it was the usual pub fare food menu with an emphasis on fried stuff. But as mine have grown and flown and I’d rather not share a pint with other peoples kids we didn’t stay and headed into Barmouth, especially as the bar had the usual range of lagers but the one handpump I could see was not functioning.
