Quinno _ left this review about Rummers

After a long period of COVID closure, Rummers has re-opened. Nothing has obviously changed, rammed as usual to the extent we were forced to sit outside. Two cask on, sadly my Gower Gold was freezing cold and tasteless (NBSS 2). If they could get the cask right in here, it'd be a smashing place.

Probably the best pub in Aber for a late drink. Has a great atmosphere and a pretty bare stonework interior. Clientèle are of the Masters/PhD student variety, which ensures a generally pleasant atmosphere. Usually hosts two or three ales that are relatively bland but drinkable and they do good pizzas. The only major drawback is that its popularity, combined with a small bar, mean that it takes ages to get served when busy. Rated 7

Beer Belly left this review about Rummers

Doesn't open until the evening which is a shame considering it's location and vast contrast to the mediocre offerings that you get between here and the Train Station. Unless their are customers in the Beer Garden it can look closed as you cannot see inside to see if it's open. Beer very good with lots of choice, service excellent and chatty, regular live music and a unique looking inside. If it was Open in the Day with seats to the left along the River and it would be a perfect Pub.
